About the role
The primary role of the Branch Service Associate I is responsible for the delivery of bank products and services to consumers, businesses, and commercial customers. This position involves providing excellent service, building customer confidence and loyalty, assisting customers with banking needs, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and bank policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide customers with excellent service and build a rapport that generates customer confidence and loyalty.
- Utilize the fundamentals of the sales process to assist customers in determining their financial needs and recommending appropriate products and services.
- Resolve customer queries and support the branch in achieving its service, sales, and customer retention goals.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures to ensure compliance with operations, security, audit procedures, and fraud prevention to protect customer and bank assets.
- Process daily monetary teller transactions, mail transactions, deposits, withdrawals, check, loan payments, etc.
- Complete all facets of branch operations including branch opening and closing procedures, teller balancing, vault balancing, adhering to bank dual control procedures, maintaining branch logs, reviewing and monitoring branch reports, adhering to BSA requirements for monetary instruments and CTRs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 6 months prior banking experience, specifically as a teller, preferred
- Ability to focus on task and be detail oriented
- Positive attitude
- Computer skills

Additional Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods of time
