About the Role
The Branch Sales Manager is a leadership position that oversees branch customer relationships and operational functions. This role manages, leads, and evaluates staff to ensure high levels of customer service and personal development. The Branch Sales Manager drives growth across the full spectrum of banking services, from consumer products to ancillary services, and is responsible for procuring new external relationships, with a focus on a "Top 100" Prospects list.
Responsibilities
- Oversee branch management functions and ensure smooth operations.
- Understand and promote Richwood Bank products, identifying opportunities for customers.
- Communicate onboarding timelines with customers and internally via CRM.
- Complete compliance documentation to protect the bank and customers.
- Participate on community volunteer boards and at bank events.
- Perform the internal Relationship Building Sales Program (Profit Rich Sales Process).
- Identify opportunities to engage with customers/prospects based on personal interests.
- Make retention and sales calls weekly, logging them in the CRM.
- Update Funnel and notes in the CRM daily.
- Refer loan and business product opportunities to the appropriate departments.
- Coordinate with team members for sales calls based on prospect needs.
- Work with customer relationship managers on Bid/Agreements (RFPs) as needed.
- Communicate with the Regional Development Team.
- Cultivate relationships with the current Top 100 prospects, advising them of new products and inviting them to relevant events.
- Conduct annual onsite reviews with clients to add value to their relationship portfolio.
- Update the Top 100/Top 1000 list monthly with supporting reasons for changes.
- Attend weekly sales meetings and present pipeline, wins, and lessons learned.
- Delegate follow-up for non-Top 100 customers to branch staff.
- Manage branch staff, including scheduling, attendance, and clear communication of expectations.
- Facilitate customer transactions across all financial account types.
- Open accounts and educate customers on maximizing their benefits.
- Maintain accurate cash drawer balances daily.
- Demonstrate knowledge of all accounts, products, and services offered.
- Support customers with account and service needs, including notary, faxing, and check orders.
- Stay current on rates for CDs, savings, IRAs, and interest-bearing checking.
- Recommend solutions to meet customer needs.
- Oversee proof scanning and daily transaction scanning.
- Assist with office support, such as inventory and event preparations.
- Provide coverage for additional branches as needed.
- Implement business development strategies and provide sales leadership.
- Conduct quarterly incentive reviews and monthly professional development conversations with staff.
- Open and close the branch while adhering to security procedures.
- Follow up on customer grievances.
- Provide input on donation decisions, local marketing, and bank events.
- Analyze weekly data for branch locations.
- Provide input on coffee shop beneficiary relationships.
- Attend community events to network and participate.
- Attend weekly retail leaders calls and monthly retail leaders meetings.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; college preferred.
- Five years of customer service experience required; three years of banking experience preferred.
- Supervisory experience required.
