About the role
Vectra Bank is a community bank serving the Rocky Mountain region, known for its commitment to customer service and career growth. The Branch Relationship Banker position is available at the Pueblo North branch.
Responsibilities
- Provides full-service banking to new and existing customers, focusing on sales and service.
- Handles new accounts, consumer loans, and performs client service issues.
- Resolves client concerns through direct action or referrals to other bank departments.
- Makes appropriate referrals for other bank products and services, including commercial lending.
- Fulfills follow-up responsibilities with clients as necessary.
- May process cash transactions, open/update accounts, originate/close loans, and handle other customer service duties.
- Establishes and maintains strong customer relationships by providing personalized service tailored to individual banking needs.
- May assist with processing cash transactions and other customer service tasks within the branch.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 1+ years' experience in sales, teller, new accounts, loan processing, or a related field.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
- Previous experience in a financial sales representative role is preferred.
- Working knowledge of mathematical calculations and standard banking products, services, and transactions.
- Solid knowledge of all retail products and services.
- Broad understanding of consumer lending applications.
- Proven customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Effective selling, cross-selling, and referral skills.
- Solid mathematical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills.
