Branch Operations Intern

About the role

Republic Finance is seeking Interns for our Branch Operations program. As a Branch Ops Intern, you will learn the daily functions and operations of a branch, gain real-world experience, and explore career opportunities within the company. This 100% onsite internship pays $15.00 per hour and aims to offer full-time employment upon successful completion of the program post-graduation.

You will interact with team members and leaders to understand the broader organization, including the Republic Way sales and customer service approach, compliance training, loan closing, leadership training, and branch operations improvement projects. The goal is to expand on core concepts from your college courses and introduce you to a long-term career path with Republic Finance.

Responsibilities

• Become licensed and complete an accelerated version of the Assistant Branch Manager Program to learn the loan process and regulatory training.
• Assist in daily loan origination, processing, closings, and fundings, including allocating files for document preparation, auditing closed files, and preparing files ready to fund.
• Spend time with your Manager and Regional Vice President to learn about responsibilities at their levels and understand the promotional path.
• Attend regional meetings and/or workshops to gain exposure to the larger Branch Operations division.
• Participate in one or more Branch Operations process improvement projects.
• Learn about corporate roles where Branch backgrounds are often strongly desired (e.g., Audit, Compliance, Training, Recruiting).

Requirements

• Must be a Junior or Senior majoring in Business, Finance, or a related field.
• Eager to learn, enthusiastic, and reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Must be able to work a minimum of 18-20 hours per week.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Must meet acceptable standards for criminal background history, credit history, and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to meet eligibility requirements for insurance licensing, including a criminal background check conducted by the state’s department of insurance.
