Republic Finance is seeking Interns for our Branch Operations program. This onsite internship offers hands-on experience in branch operations, exposing you to the broader organization and various career opportunities. Our goal is to expand on core concepts from your college courses and introduce you to a long-term career path with Republic Finance.
About the role
As a Branch Ops Intern, you will learn the daily functions of a branch and the overall business, including:
- The Republic Way sales and customer service approach
- Compliance training
- Loan closing processes
- Leadership training
- Branch operations continuous improvement projects involving various departments
You will interact with team members and leaders to gain real-world experience, including becoming licensed and completing an accelerated version of the Assistant Branch Manager Program.
Responsibilities
- Assist in daily production of loan origination, processing, closings, and fundings, including allocating files for doc prep, auditing closed files, and preparing files ready to fund
- Spend time with your Manager and Regional Vice President to learn about responsibilities at their levels and understand the promotional path
- Attend regional meetings and/or workshops to gain exposure to the larger Branch Operations division
- Participate in Branch Operations process improvement projects
- Learn about corporate roles where Branch backgrounds are often strongly desired (Audit, Compliance, Training, Recruiting, etc.)
Requirements
- Must be a Junior or Senior majoring in Business, Finance, or a related field
- Eager to learn, enthusiastic, and reliable with a strong work ethic
- Must be able to work a minimum of 18-20 hours per week
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Must meet acceptable standards for criminal background history, credit history, and pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to meet eligibility requirements for insurance licensing to sell voluntary insurance products (eligibility based on a criminal background check conducted by the state’s department of insurance)
