Branch Operations Intern
Are you a current Junior or Senior in college seeking an Internship with a Finance or Business focus? Republic Finance is seeking Interns for our Branch Operations program. As a Branch Ops Intern, you will learn the daily functions and operations of a branch, as well as gain insight into the broader organization and various career opportunities we offer.
About the role
You will interact with team members and leaders to gain real-world experience by working alongside our team to learn about many aspects of the day-to-day operations of a branch and the overall business, including:
- The Republic Way sales and customer service approach
- Compliance training
- Loan closing
- Leadership training
- One or more branch operations continuous improvement projects involving various other departments of the company
We will provide hands-on experience, expose you to career paths we offer, and familiarize you with our ongoing company initiatives. Our goal is to expand on core concepts introduced in your college classes and introduce you to a bright future and long-term career path with Republic Finance.
This position is 100% onsite and pays $15.00 per hour. Successful completion of the program may lead to full-time employment post-graduation.
Responsibilities
- Become licensed and go through an accelerated version of the Assistant Branch Manager Program to learn the loan process and all necessary regulatory training
- Assist in daily production of loan origination, processing, closings, and fundings, including allocating files for doc prep, auditing closed files, and preparing files ready to fund
- Spend time with your Manager and Regional Vice President learning about responsibilities at their levels to understand the promotional path and career potential with Republic Finance
- Attend regional meetings and/or workshops (as available during the intern’s employment) to gain exposure to the larger Branch Operations division of the company
- Learn about one or more Branch Operations process improvement-related projects
- Learn about corporate roles where Branch backgrounds are often strongly desired (Audit, Compliance, Training, Recruiting, etc.)
Requirements
- Must be a Junior or Senior majoring in Business, Finance, or a related field
- Eager to learn, enthusiastic, and reliable with a strong work ethic
- Must have the ability to work a minimum of 18-20 hours per week
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Must meet acceptable standards for criminal background history, credit history, and pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to meet eligibility requirements for insurance licensing in order to sell voluntary insurance products (eligibility is based on a criminal background check conducted by the state’s department of insurance)
