About the role
The Branch Operations Assistant supports daily branch operations by providing customer service, administrative support, and vehicle processing assistance. This role handles customer inquiries, maintains vehicle records, processes auction paperwork, assists with yard operations, and supports overall branch efficiency in a fast-paced auction environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer support via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Process orders, assignments, and data entry with accuracy.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and service requests.
- Maintain filing, documentation, and general clerical tasks.
- Prepare and process auction-related paperwork.
- Assist with vehicle check-in, recordkeeping, and lot organization.
- Safely move and position vehicles throughout the facility.
- Detail vehicles to enhance appearance and auction value.
- Operate loaders and learn automobile titling processes.
- Serve as a resource for yard and customer service team members.
- Support office operations and assist visitors as needed.
- Follow safety guidelines and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- General mechanical knowledge of vehicles.
- Willingness to learn forklift operation within 90 days.
- Previous forklift, automotive, construction, equipment rental, or related experience preferred.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Work Environment
This is a fully onsite position located in an auction yard and office setting. The team consists of 9 employees, including an Office Manager, Supervisor, Customer Service Representatives, Dispatch, and Title Clerks. The role requires strong collaboration, attention to detail, and the ability to balance office and yard responsibilities.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
