About the role
Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union is a not-for-profit, Member-owned, and locally operated financial institution serving the financial needs of its communities of Membership. We have 25 locations throughout East Tennessee and we serve more than 300,000 Members. The Credit Union helps Members grow financially by offering a variety of accounts including: checking, savings and investments. Also offered are competitive loan rates on new and used autos and recreational vehicles, mortgages, personal loans and credit cards.
Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility for the effective and professional performance of member service functions.
- Guide and manage the branch, including scheduling adequate staff to ensure efficient branch operation, conducting performance reviews, coaching employees, and providing additional training, as needed.
- Maintain a highly motivated, well-trained staff, maintaining effective employee relations.
- Evaluate the job performance of the branch staff to ensure quality and quantity of work and service to the members.
- Perform branch functions, such as teller transactions, opening new accounts completing loan applications, processing and approving loans on a consistent and regular basis.
- Maintain and project the Credit Union's professional reputation.
- Maintain privacy of member account information.
- Keep members informed of Credit Union services and policies, including types of available accounts, interest and dividend rates, payroll deduction options, and other related services.
- Present and explain Credit Union services and products to members and assist in meeting their financial needs.
- Answer questions and solve problems for members by listening to problems, collecting data, securing answers, and reporting results to the inquiring party.
- Monitor branch activity, including transactions, volume, errors, loan volume, sales, and new accounts.
- Work at other branches when needed.
- Implement and monitor the budget for the branch.
- Maintain involvement in local community events.
- Create and maintain a cross-selling environment within the branch.
- Establish and maintain goals, objectives, benchmarks, accountability standards and rewards.
- Research and solve staff and member questions and/or problems.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- A valid driver's license required.
- Knowledge or experience in teller, new accounts, lending, and Credit Union operations and procedures required.
Qualifications
- Dependable attendance.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
