Branch Manager - Joplin Rangeline

About the role

The Branch Manager oversees all aspects of a branch location, including client service, sales, and supervision of Community Bankers, Relationship Bankers, and Client Experience. This role provides direction to ensure accurate, timely, and courteous service while adhering to regulatory and compliance protocols. The Branch Manager is responsible for client outreach, employee development, and meeting branch growth expectations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of branch operations, including client service, sales, business development, and operations.
• Develop and achieve sales and business development goals, including setting sales targets for Relationship Bankers.
• Provide strategic leadership, project management, and solutions for workflow, staffing, and resource challenges.
• Implement operational processes and ensure compliance with internal audit procedures, legal regulations, and dual control requirements.
• Identify and address fraud while following appropriate procedures.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of consumer lending products and lending regulations.
• Provide guidance to clients on bank products and services to meet their financial needs.
• Grow and participate in the Partnership Banking program to expand the consumer client base.
• Enhance the bank’s competitive position by understanding market trends and introducing innovative solutions.
• Build and grow key relationships with internal teams and external clients.
• Hire, develop, motivate, and train staff, including delegating work assignments and evaluating performance.
• Establish clear expectations and hold team members accountable for performance and cultural alignment.
• Administer compensation based on a pay-for-performance philosophy, including merit increases and variable pay.
• Identify staff training needs and deliver on-the-job training.
• Create and maintain staff schedules to ensure sufficient coverage.
• Comply with all company and regulatory policies, procedures, and requirements.
• Participate in community engagement events, including professional, civic, and community groups.
• Foster and preserve a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Perform additional duties as required to support the company’s mission and vision.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three years of banking, client service, or retail experience.
• One year of lending experience preferred.
• Three years of supervisory experience.
• Excellent client service and leadership skills, with a focus on developing others.
• Solid understanding of financial reports and information.
• Ability to make sound decisions and exceptions on behalf of the bank.
• Capability to interpret, analyze, and communicate financial information to diverse audiences.
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in banking software and Microsoft 365 products, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Under the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (“SAFE Act”), this position requires registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry as a Mortgage Loan Originator (“MLO”). Registration must be completed within 30 days of employment and includes additional background screening.

Working Conditions

• Duties performed in a professional office environment.
• Requires travel to other branch or client locations.
• Availability to work on Saturdays and occasional evenings for community events.
• Requires extended periods of standing and the ability to lift up to fifty pounds.
