Branch Manager II
About the role
We are seeking a Branch Manager II to oversee daily store operations and achieve or advance sales and margin goals. Key responsibilities include promoting sales, delivering excellent customer service, managing inventory, and balancing expenses through purchasing. The role also involves fostering facility and staff alignment to safety and regulatory standards, training staff, and conducting performance reviews.
Responsibilities
- Promote sales and deliver excellent customer service
- Nurture inventory levels and balance expenses through purchasing
- Foster facility and staff alignment to safety and regulatory standards
- Train inside sales associates on product knowledge, company policies, processes, procedures, and safety
- Cultivate and refine appropriate cylinder and hard goods inventory levels
- Facilitate and lead training for inside sales associates
- Conduct periodic performance reviews for branch associates
- Act as a bridge between employees and management, providing performance mentorship and guidance
Requirements
- 2+ years of management experience in a customer-facing environment
- Background in supporting and leading teams within a retail or industrial distribution environment
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and occasionally up to 125 lbs with the aid of material handling equipment
- Proficient computer skills and an interest in learning new digital tools
- Self-motivated with a focus on contributing to the overall team's success
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively act as a bridge between staff and management
Qualifications
- Required: 2+ years of management experience in a customer-facing environment
- Required: Background in supporting and leading teams within a retail or industrial distribution environment
- Required: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and occasionally up to 125 lbs with the aid of material handling equipment
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience in a role focused on nurturing team growth and operational efficiency
- Preferred: 5+ years’ experience in sales with a track record of meaningful contributions
- Preferred: Experience with inventory cultivation and vendor relationship support

$78,000 - $85,000 (DOE)
