The Branch Manager is a dynamic, results-oriented leader responsible for the overall performance, growth and success of a WaFd branch. This high-impact role focuses on driving business development and sales, particularly with small businesses, while growing deposits, originating loans, and expanding client relationships through cross-selling additional services.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team to achieve growth goals
• Deliver outstanding customer service
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and operational standards
• Drive business development and sales, particularly with small businesses
• Grow deposits
• Originate loans
• Expand client relationships through cross-selling additional services
• Meet performance metrics and production goals
• Coach, motivate, mentor and provide feedback to staff
• Ensure a consistently high level of customer satisfaction through excellent service
• Adhere to bank policies and procedures designed to comply with Federal regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act and OFAC regulations
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in finance, business, or a related field
• 5+ years in banking, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial role
• Prior sales or client relations experience (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license and ability to be bonded

Qualifications

• Proven success in small business development, deposit/loan growth, and cross-selling
• Strong knowledge of banking regulations, compliance, and operational procedures

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams), keyboarding, and digital banking tools
• Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
