About the role
This position oversees all aspects of branch operations, including staff coaching and development, fostering a sales and service culture, and promoting branch growth.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the highest standards of integrity, personal responsibility, sense of community, and teamwork.
- Build member loyalty by meeting and exceeding member expectations.
- Establish branch or department goals, analyze accomplishments, and ensure day-to-day activities align with credit union goals.
- Develop and maintain relationships with credit union members, determine member needs, and maximize opportunities to sell additional products and services.
- Coach staff to achieve sales and performance goals using AID INC steps.
- Ensure staff work is accurate, efficient, and supports quality service to members.
- Support staff in achieving career development goals.
- Supervise hiring, termination, promotion, time off requests, transfers, performance appraisals, training, and development of staff.
- Organize subordinate personnel into effective work groups and ensure proper authority and responsibility.
- Review work systems to reduce duplication of effort and unnecessary work.
- Conduct personnel functions in accordance with applicable statutes.
- Develop and implement the branch strategic plan, including budget.
- Partner with other non-profits to support their efforts and aid in growth.
- Work closely with marketing to analyze market profiles and implement strategies.
- Analyze competition and identify credit union competitive advantage or areas needing improvement.
- Promote the credit union in the community.
- Directly manage daily branch operations, including audit, cash management, and security control functions.
- Implement and execute management-approved decisions, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure the branch maintains a favorable image, reflects sound and secure financial practices, and provides a pleasant atmosphere for members.
- Assist management with NCUA or other audits and answer questions.
- Cover other branch locations during vacancies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a financial services environment.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with members and colleagues.
- Experience in coaching and developing staff.
- Strong understanding of financial products and services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of credit union policies and procedures.

Pay
