Branch Manager

About the Role

To oversee the daily operations, sales, and service culture of the branch while ensuring all members receive the highest level of service.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to meet and exceed sales and service goals while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations and Align Credit Union policies.
• Exercise administrative control over day-to-day branch functions, including delegating and assigning work.
• Manage staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, and salary recommendations.
• Ensure implementation of Credit Union policies and communicate programs, procedures, and objectives.
• Maintain a positive work environment through professional communication with members, teammates, management, and vendors.
• Interview, hire, train, coach, and motivate the branch team, setting performance goals and providing feedback.
• Monitor branch activity and performance (e.g., transactions, errors, loan volume, sales, new accounts) to identify growth opportunities.
• Proactively grow the branch’s book of business by developing new community relationships and deepening existing ones.
• Represent the Credit Union through volunteer efforts and encourage staff participation in community initiatives.
• Make sound decisions, exercise judgment, and resolve member issues and complaints independently.
• Ensure adequate branch coverage when approving time off and be willing to fill in for teller and member service representative duties.
• Maintain compliance with governmental and regulatory agencies, credit union laws, and internal policies to mitigate risk and fraud.
