Branch Manager

About the role

Fireside Hearth and Home (FHH) is looking to add a Branch Manager at our Wilmington, NC location. This position will also be responsible for the Myrtle Beach branch. Fireside Hearth & Home is the world’s largest and leading fireplace installing distributor and retail dealer in North America and a subsidiary of Hearth & Home Technologies – the largest manufacturer of fireplace products and an HNI Corporation operating company. Fireside is a team of 400+ hearth experts located across 6 regions, 12 states and 29 branches across the USA.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Division Field Operations Supervisor (DFOS), customer service, and warehouse teams, including daily oversight, coaching, training, and performance management.
• Foster strong collaboration between branch, hub, and sales teams.
• Manage working capital by overseeing inventory, conducting quarterly audits, and resolving A/R issues.
• Drive branch financial performance through labor management, capacity planning, and control of G&A expenses.
• Coordinate installation and service schedules to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction.
• Provide field support to DFOS and Service Technicians throughout the preview and post‑view process.
• Manage branch cash handling, including issuing checks, deposits, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Handle retail walk‑in sales of Hearth products, services, and accessories.

Required Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships with internal and external customers.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Problem-solving capabilities and excellent customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations-related or construction related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
