The Branch Manager is responsible for effectively leading branch sales, service, and community outreach initiatives. This role oversees branch staff to ensure the delivery of exceptional member service, including account transactions, loan applications, new accounts, and issue resolution, all within established policies and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Uphold Credit Union of Georgia brand standards, including following all steps of our unique member experience to Engage, Ask, Solve, and Excite, delivering top-level member service.
• Oversee daily branch operations and business development activities to provide exceptional service to members and potential members.
• Direct and participate in public and community relations activities to promote the Credit Union.
• Serve as a liaison for external community involvement and internal member relations.
• Coordinate training and serve as an information source for the branch.
• Promote credit union awareness in the community and identify opportunities for membership growth.
• Provide decisions and justification to grant or deny loans, ensuring compliance with all state and federal fair lending rules and regulations.
• Achieve financial goals as determined by the Credit Union’s strategic plan through the management of branch staff.
• Serve as a leader; communicate philosophy; conduct weekly meetings; ensure the branch is meeting members’ needs through efficient and effective service.
• Set an example of professional behavior and hold employees accountable for their performance, attitude, and behavior.
• Demonstrate enthusiastic support of corporate mission, core values, and long-term objectives.
• Participate in and assist with Business Development and Community outreach programs to establish and maintain relationships that enhance the growth and recognition of the Credit Union.
• Ensure the branch is operating efficiently, is staffed appropriately, and all aspects of branch operations are functioning, including hardware, equipment, ATM, Teller Cash Recyclers, check scanners, cameras, alarms, vault and vault limits, coin machines, etc.
• Oversee branch maintenance and appearance.
• Assist members with consumer loans and make recommendations to underwriters for loans under consideration; assist subordinate personnel with loans and recommendations as required.
• Review applications, add notes, gather documents, research and verify information, and ensure proper communication to members.
• Monitor and ensure familiarity and compliance with all Credit Union policies and procedures.
• Maintain personal certifications or registries as required by law, complete required training, and submit necessary information to ensure compliance with the S.A.F.E. Act, BSA, and all other applicable laws and regulations.
• Ensure the security of branch staff, volunteers, visitors, and members, including the physical security of the credit union, money, facilities, collateral, equipment, and member/employee information.
• Provide communication up-line with executive management, direct reports, and members.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of banking or credit union leadership and lending experience.
• Business development experience preferred.
• 7+ years of practical work experience.
• High school degree or GED required; some college preferred.
• All employees must complete annual training modules, including but not limited to cyber security, Bank Secrecy Act, and other compliance and regulatory requirements.
