Branch Manager

About the Role

The Branch Manager is responsible for developing and managing a business operation that increases sales, profitability, market share, and customer and employee safety and satisfaction. This role directs, coordinates, and monitors all branch operations including sales, warehouse, logistics, inventory, finances, facility maintenance, and personnel development activities.

Responsibilities

• Recognize issues, problems, or opportunities and determine necessary actions.
• Gather, organize, and analyze information to identify trends, associations, and cause-effect relationships.
• Generate and evaluate alternatives, considering implications, especially financial impact.
• Implement decisions and monitor results, making adjustments as needed.
• Delegate responsibilities effectively, defining parameters, providing support, and staying informed of progress.
• Prioritize tasks, establish SMART goals, and implement action plans with timelines and measurable results.
• Determine project requirements, allocate resources, and schedule tasks to avoid conflicts and overruns.
• Communicate clearly and effectively, adjusting messages to the audience and ensuring understanding.
• Build trust and gain commitment through open discussions, honesty, and relationship-building.
• Coach and develop others by clarifying expectations, providing feedback, and monitoring progress.
• Manage conflict by objectively viewing situations, practicing active listening, and focusing on resolution.
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of sales/marketing, purchasing/inventory, warehouse, finance/credit, and HR/talent functions within the branch.
• Ensure high-quality output by following procedures and correcting quality issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned and adhere to company rules and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Minimum 1 year in a similar position (3 years preferred).
• Minimum 3 years in a progressive position (5 years preferred).
• Product/applications experience preferred.
• Wholesale distribution experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Competency in all subordinate positions of branch operations is essential.
