About the role
As a Branch Manager with American Pest, you'll be a leader who responsible for much more than hitting numbers. You're responsible for building a culture, developing people, creating an outstanding customer experience, and ensuring your branch operates safely, efficiently, and profitably. You'll spend your time coaching employees, making operational decisions, helping solve customer issues, reviewing performance, supporting growth, and working with your team to continually improve. It's a role for someone who enjoys variety, thrives on responsibility and accountability, and takes pride in seeing a team succeed because of the environment they've created.
Responsibilities
- Lead every aspect of your branch's success
- Own your region's Profit & Loss (P&L) performance
- Build, develop, and coach a team committed to delivering outstanding customer service and exceptional pest management solutions
- Review branch performance
- Coach managers and technicians
- Interview potential new hires
- Meet with high-profile customers
- Solve operational challenges
- Plan for your branch's future growth
- Help shape business strategy as a member of the Leadership Team
- Drive continuous improvement
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years in the pest control industry
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience
- Firm understanding of customer service and de-escalation
- Ability to hold team accountable - daily check-ins, goal setting, performance management, etc.
- Sales Leadership ability with a history of revenue generation and growth
- Exceptional Operational leadership skills
- The proven ability to inspire and motivate a team
- Experience with interviewing and hiring with an eye for selection & retention
- Outstanding leadership and people development skills with a focus on training
- Exemplary oral and written communication skills
- Ability to safely move about customer locations, ascend/descend stairs and ladders to service out of the way areas, and position self to conduct service under/around furniture, equipment, and tight spaces
- Ability to safely move items and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work outdoors in all regular seasonal weather conditions
- Technical proficiency with computers, smart phones, etc.
- Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
- A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- The ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Availability to work non-standard business hours including weekends and holidays
- High school degree or equivalent
