Summary

Manages the overall operation of the Branch and the Branch personnel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the flow of cash and financial instruments in accordance with company policy.
  • Assess risk of all financial transactions executed by Branch personnel.
  • Collect data to analyze the present and future financial status of the organization.
  • Directs, coordinates, and monitors activities to implement institution's policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Establish procedures for custody and control of assets, records, loan collateral, and securities to ensure safekeeping.
  • Contact customers and business, community, and civic organizations to promote goodwill and generate new business.
  • Compiles and reports financial data as required by organization and government regulations.
  • Raise capital as needed by the organization.
  • Analyzes investment options and makes recommendations to corporate officers for institution investment.
  • Talk to customers to resolve account problems.
  • Establish and maintains contact with banking-related industries such as insurance, real estate, and securities.
  • Communicate with stockholders and other investors.
  • Participate time to time with community organizations and in community projects.
  • Take all types of loan applications and follow through to approval or rejections.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Manages subordinate supervisor(s) who supervises employees in the bank's front office operations and teller areas.
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
  • Also, directly supervises non-supervisory employees.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Interviews, hires, trains, and appraises performance.
  • Rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Management, Accounting or other related field.
  • At least two to five years of supervisory experience in a financial institution or related industry.
