About the role
As Branch Leader you will manage all aspects of an assigned Truist branch, driving performance through leadership, coaching, and business development. The role is critical to Truist’s Purpose of inspiring and building better lives and communities, with a focus on small-business expertise.
Responsibilities
- Promote a positive public image in the community and instill Truist’s Purpose, Mission, and Values in the team.
- Drive branch performance and revenue through business development, including Small Business, Mass Affluent, Community Heroes, and Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) partnerships.
- Grow Small Business and Mass Affluent client bases through face-to-face appointments, outbound calling, and prospecting.
- Participate in civic, professional, and community organizations to build the Truist brand and generate new business.
- Lead, coach, and motivate teammates to fulfill Truist’s Purpose, Mission, and Values for client financial success and team empowerment.
- Partner with Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) and Operations teams to ensure compliance with bank procedures, internal controls, risk management, and the Truist Code of Ethics.
- Oversee all required training for the branch team.
- Collaborate with IRM and key line-of-business partners to promote a One Team culture within the branch.
- Manage human capital decisions, including interviewing, hiring, scheduling, development planning, performance reviews, ratings, and disciplinary actions for all branch team members.
- May assist with teller transactions as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and related training/experience.
- Two years of financial services and consumer/small business expertise or equivalent experience.
- One year of branch leadership or management experience.
- Strong interpersonal, sales, relationship-building, and prioritization skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must become SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act compliant within 30 days of employment, including new or transfer of registration and applicable NMLS background check.
- Ability to inspire, lead, and coach others.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Banking.
- Graduate of internal leadership development programs.
