About the Role
This position plays a critical role in achieving Trystar’s strategic objectives. The Brake Press Operator is essential to Trystar’s vision of becoming the world’s foremost custom solution provider. Key responsibilities include:
- Machine Setup: Prepare and set up press brake machines, ensuring correct calibration and alignment.
- Material Handling: Position and align sheet metal or other materials accurately.
- Bending Operations: Operate the press brake to bend or form materials according to engineering drawings.
- Quality Control: Inspect bent components for dimensional accuracy and quality.
- Tool Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on press brake tooling and replace worn parts.
- Troubleshooting: Resolve minor issues during the bending process.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols.
- Production Monitoring: Maintain a steady workflow and address deviations.
- Documentation: Record production data accurately.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with team members for smooth production flow.
- Process Improvement: Seek opportunities to enhance efficiency and quality.
Job Requirements
- Basic Qualifications: 2 years’ experience in machine operation or mechanical ability, 2 years of manufacturing experience, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, basic reading and writing skills, proficiency in reading engineering drawings, high school diploma or technical secondary education, previous Brake Press Operation experience, ability to perform simple mathematics, and pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
- Additional Qualifications: Preferred technical secondary education, ability to read and interpret Solidworks engineering drawings, proficiency in reading and interpreting SOP manuals, and ability to perform tasks requiring hand tools.
Benefits
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts from 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM with a bonus of 4 hours to equal 40 hours per week.
