Brake Press Operator 3rd Shift

Position Summary

The Press Brake Operator is responsible for retrieving tooling, setting tooling, programming the machine, and running the machine. They will use blue print specifications to accurately make test parts, inspect, make adjustments, green tag parts, and verify product quality through inspection and measuring equipment.

• Follow safety and environmental procedures
• Come to work every day, on time as scheduled
• Proefficient communication skills
• Accurately read and use quality tools to ensure quality parts
• Compare parts to blueprint to ensure they meet standards and specifications to verify product quality
• Use computer to enter part information/inventory in ERP system
• Setup, program and operate Press Brake equipment
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and repair to keep Press Brake running smoothly and reduce downtime
• Examine parts during production process
• Set up light barriers to ensure safety
• Execute scheduling board
• Able to use motorized walking stacker

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to operate cranes, overhead hoists
• Ability to use quality inspection equipment
• Proficient and basic math and computer skills
