About the Role

A Press Brake Operator is responsible for retrieving and setting tooling, programming the machine, and operating it to produce parts according to blueprint specifications. The role involves inspecting parts, making adjustments, and verifying product quality through measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and environmental procedures.
• Arrive at work on time as scheduled.
• Demonstrate proficient communication skills.
• Accurately read and use quality tools to ensure parts meet standards.
• Compare parts to blueprints to verify product quality.
• Use a computer to enter part information and inventory in the ERP system.
• Set up, program, and operate Press Brake equipment.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and repairs to reduce downtime.
• Examine parts during the production process.
• Set up light barriers to ensure safety.
• Execute scheduling board tasks.
• Use a motorized walking stacker.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to operate cranes and overhead hoists.
• Proficiency in using quality inspection equipment.
• Basic math and computer skills.
