Brake Press / Laser Machine Operator - 2nd Shift

About the role

This position is responsible for running and setting up a variety of equipment in the Tech Cell, including Press Brake, Laser, and Buffalo Rolls machines.

Responsibilities

• Aligns parts or positions them against fixtures on a machine.
• Stacks, racks, wraps, and counts component or finished goods for placement onto skids.
• Inspects parts according to requirements.
• Uses calipers, tape measure, measuring fixtures, and gauges.
• Logs production documentation into Epicor software using a computer.
• Sets up and programs Press Brakes, CNC Milling Machines, Fiber Optic Lasers, and Rolls Equipment.
• Troubleshoots and makes machine adjustments to assure dimensional compliance of parts.
• Maintains production rate numbers and performs machine changeovers in the appropriate time.
• Works with a variety of materials including Steel, Galvanized Steel, Aluminum, and Stainless.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience on Press Brakes, Lasers, and CNC Milling Machines preferred.
• Computer data entry skills.
• Able to safely lift and handle up to 50 pounds overhead.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints.
