Brake and Tire Technician

About the role

As a Brake & Tire Technician you will work in one of Carvana’s high‑tech Inspection Centers, using state‑of‑the‑art tools to perform light maintenance and repairs on vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform light maintenance or repairs, including changing brakes and tires
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance
• Carry out basic mechanical repair for brake pads, calipers, and rotors
• Install tires and perform wheel alignments

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of professional automotive repair experience
• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools – must be able to lift up to 60 lb independently
• Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license
• Some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing production environment, sometimes exposed to excessive weather conditions (heat/cold)
• Use of required safety equipment (face shield or goggles, non‑slip shoes, gloves, mask, etc.)
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
