Scholarship FAQs
What does the scholarship application include? The application process includes an essay, and open-ended questions. An official transcript, resume and (2) letters of recommendation are also required.
What is the requirement for applying for the scholarship program? Active enrollment in a college or university program accredited by the American Board of Funeral Service Education (ABFSE) with a GPA of 2.6 or higher.
Can I be a scholarship recipient more than once? Scholarship recipients are eligible to receive one (1) Mortuary Science scholarship award.
May I apply after the deadline? Unfortunately, applications will not be accepted after the deadline.
When will the scholarship winners announced? All applicants will be notified of their selection status individually.
Is my award contingent upon working for NorthStar Memorial Group? No, you are not required to accept an offer of employment to receive a scholarship award.
