Job Summary

About the role

This position involves preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, providing professional service, and maintaining cleanliness and organization during events.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverages in accordance with recipes, portioning standards, and presentation guidelines
• Provide friendly and efficient service to guests at banquet bars and event spaces
• Maintain knowledge of all beverage offerings and monitor guest consumption
• Set up and break down banquet bar areas according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
• Ensure bar areas are clean, organized, and fully stocked
• Verify guest identification and ensure responsible alcohol service
• Track beverage consumption and handle cash, tickets, or billing procedures
• Collaborate with banquet team members, culinary staff, and leadership for efficient service flow
• Communicate with guests and team members, and assist with event setup and breakdown
• Handle guest concerns and escalate issues to leadership
• Maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude
• Comply with safety standards and company policies

Requirements

• 2+ years of bartending experience, preferably in banquet, event, or high-volume environments
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and beverage service standards
• Excellent guest service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and remain composed under pressure
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality and consistency
• Knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices and legal requirements
• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 40–50 lbs, stand for up to 10–12 hours, and move quickly in a fast-paced environment
