Boys Basketball Assistant Coach - Volunteer

About the role

The Boys Basketball program at Tallwood High School is seeking a volunteer assistant coach to support the head coach in developing student-athletes' skills and fostering a positive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in planning and implementing practice sessions and games.
• Work with the head coach to develop and implement training programs for players.
• Attend all home and away games and practices.
• Help organize and manage equipment and facilities.

Requirements

• Experience coaching high school basketball is preferred but not required.
• A strong commitment to the values of Tallwood High School.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the head coach and other staff members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background check.

Skills

• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
