About the role

The ideal candidate will operate CNC Vertical and Horizontals machines in the Machining Center and perform minor machine maintenance as required or directed. They will also perform a visual inspection to ensure all parts meet quality standards before shipping to the customer. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the quality and precision of components used in aerospace and defense applications.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Vertical and Horizontals machines in the Machining Center
• Perform minor machine maintenance as required or directed
• Perform a visual inspection to ensure all parts meet quality standards before shipping to the customer
• Maintain accurate records required for production and quality
• Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw and apply valid conclusions
• Reach and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals
• Set up and operate manual machines such as mill and/or lathes
• Be cross-trained throughout the manufacturing facility

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to read and set up tolerances and work from blueprints
• Ability to reach and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals
• Ability to set up and operate manual machines such as mill and/or lathes
• Mechanically inclined and possess strong attention to detail
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication
