We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Box Lunch Worker to prepare and organize box lunches and load buses with meals and drinks for tours into Denali National Park. This role is crucial in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of meals prior to bus departures each morning. About Denali National Park & Preserve and Doyon/Aramark Joint Venture

Summer days in Alaska stretch nearly endlessly, with up to 20 hours of daylight on the Summer Solstice. Spanning 6.2 million acres, Denali National Park & Preserve is home to Denali, the highest peak in North America, and attracts over half a million visitors annually. Conveniently accessible by road—4.5 hours from Anchorage and 2 hours from Fairbanks. Doyon Limited and Aramark have teamed up in a Joint Venture as the Denali National Park & Preserve's Concessionaire. Open May to September, our operation manages the transportation, retail, guest service and food and beverage concessions with our client; The National Park Service. By road, our 100 Blue Bird Bus Fleet takes guests past the 15-mile public access point daily during summer months, allowing people to hike, view wildlife, climb, and camp where few people have set foot.

Responsibilities

• Box Lunch Preparation: Ensure meals are packaged neatly, securely, and labeled appropriately for accurate distribution. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the food preparation area.
• Bus Loading: Organize and load meals, beverages, and related supplies onto buses in a timely manner. Verify that each bus is stocked with the correct quantity and variety of items for its group. Secure all items to prevent spillage or damage during transit.
• Inventory and Quality Control: Monitor inventory levels of food, drinks, and packaging supplies; report shortages or reorder needs to the supervisor. Conduct quality checks to ensure all items meet company standards for freshness, presentation, and accuracy. Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with bus and transportation staff to ensure smooth operations. Communicate effectively with drivers and supervisors to address last-minute changes or special requests.
• Compliance and Safety: Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and transportation. Adhere to company policies regarding hygiene, cleanliness, and proper handling of perishable items. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 30 pounds, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Constant outdoor work while loading buses, subject to weather conditions.
• This position starts typically at 4am and may work weekends and holidays.
• If applicant does not live on-site, they must have reliable transportation to meet the early schedule.
• This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing.
• This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
