Box Truck Delivery Driver & Installer (Home & Office Furniture)

About the role

Join the Operations team as a full-time non-CDL Delivery Driver in San Antonio, Texas. You will load furniture, deliver safely to customers’ homes or offices, assemble furniture, and ensure a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Start your day at the warehouse to review your route, safety topics, and more with the operations team
• Drive a 26-foot box truck with a lift gate to customers’ homes or offices
• Unload, deliver, and install furniture while interacting with customers
• Assist in the warehouse as needed, including loading and unloading furniture

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 21 years of age or older
• Valid and current driver’s license in the state of residency
• Minimum of 3 months professional experience driving a 24-foot box truck or larger commercial vehicle; 1 year of experience preferred
• Physically able and willing to move furniture indoors, outdoors, up or down stairs, and in all weather conditions; ability to lift 100+ pounds with a partner
• Ability to comply with Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, including:
  • Reading and speaking English sufficiently to converse with the public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records
  • Maintaining a valid DOT Medical Evaluator Certificate (passing a physical and drug screening)
  • Passing a road test based on FMCSA/CORT requirements
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) per CORT’s Safe Driving Standards
• This position is subject to a background check for convictions directly related to its duties and responsibilities

Pay

$19 - $20 per hour, depending on experience. Eligible for CORT's Performance Sharing Plan (PSP) bonus plan.

Schedule

Standard schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Some flexibility, including Saturdays and overtime, may be required.
