Job Description
Summary: As a Bowling Mechanic, you are crucial to the seamless operation of our bowling alley. You ensure that all mechanical and electrical equipment runs smoothly by providing fast and precise maintenance and repairs. Your expertise keeps the lanes in top condition, directly enhancing the guest experience and supporting the overall success of our facility.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Provide timely and courteous guest service consistent with the company's guest service culture
- Aid the mechanic supervisor in maintaining a formal preventative maintenance program for pinsetters
- Diagnose and correct pinsetter malfunctions during active play to minimize downtime
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment, pit areas, and bowling lane
- Maintain cleanliness of ball dusters, bowler's areas, and surrounding zones; mop before league play and before leaving each shift
- Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position
- Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company's guest service culture standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 1 year of mechanical experience or relevant transferable skills in a similar environment preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team
- Committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and safety-conscious work environment
- Ability to access and input information using a moderately complex computer system
Requirements
- This position is classified as safety-sensitive and requires successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening, including testing for marijuana
- At least 21 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
- Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
- Verify right to work in the United States
Physical Requirements
- Frequently push/pull, lift and/or carry up to 60 lbs at floor, knee, waist, and chest levels
- Sometimes maneuver large loads up to 150 lbs
- Frequently squat, kneel, reach, bend, twist
- Frequently standing and walking
- Ability to use manual and power tools
- Ability to ascend and descend stairs
- Ability to communicate using in-person speech, radios, and telephone
- Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds in person
- Ability to distinguish between shades of color
- Ability to use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity
