Summary
BioLegend is seeking a Bottling Technician I for its Form, Fill, and Finish Group. This role involves processing product formulations, dispensing antibody products, capping, labeling, kitting, and completing batch records. It's a collaborative position that requires close teamwork with other core teams within the Bottling Department and other departments like Planning, Receiving, Inventory Control, Custom Solution Team (CST), Packaging, and Quality Control.
Essential Functions
- Aid in performing various bottling tasks such as dispensing antibody solutions, capping, labeling, assembling kits, and verifying formulation worksheets
- Follow SOPs and work instructions to formulate products
- Ensure accuracy of formulation worksheets by checking concentration, lot numbers, etc.
- Store finished goods according to designated temperature conditions
- Use computer programs like Microsoft Excel
- Set up and prepare equipment for ongoing operations
- Operate computer-controlled process support and equipment (filling line, lyophilizer, capping, labeling machine, etc.)
- Complete job tasks according to instructions and follow correct procedures, policies, and health/safety guidelines
- Clean and maintain work area and equipment
- Perform data entry and production documentation tasks as needed
- Contribute to other projects or responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or some college
- 6 months of experience in a laboratory and/or biotech manufacturing and/or filling/bottling/packaging environment
Preferred Qualifications
- 6 months of experience in a regulated manufacturing industry
- Experience in pipetting or dispensing liquid products
- Ability to perform simple math calculations
- Aseptic technique in a biosafety cabinet
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Laboratory environment with occasional data entry
- Occasional exposure to a warehouse environment
- Regular standing, talking, hearing, and using hands and fingers
Pay
The base hourly range for this full-time position is $18.25 - $22.00/hour. The actual pay will vary based on internal equity, work location, and additional factors.
