About the role
The BOSS Fulfillment Outfitter plays a crucial role in enhancing the shopping experience for customers by managing inventory across all retail locations and efficiently fulfilling BOSS orders.
Responsibilities
- Performs multiple functions within the back room, including receiving, inspecting, filling orders, sorting, and packing merchandise.
- Sorts merchandise into order groupings and packs it using proper containers, cartons, or packaging for shipment.
- Applies designated labels and visually inspects product for quality and presentation to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Fills retail and/or direct customer orders by inspecting merchandise and matching it to the order, pulling from designated stock locations and placing in appropriate containers.
- Moves merchandise among warehouse locations using authorized material handling equipment or manually load/unload trailers.
- Maintains housekeeping and cleanliness, adhering to safety procedures.
- Attends mandatory training and in-services, including new employee orientation, safety, and job skills training.
- Assists customers in finding merchandise and making buying decisions when working on the sales floor during store open hours.
- Communicates any issues or needs affecting the execution of basic job functions.
Qualifications
- Minimum degree required: High school diploma.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience.
- Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Follow through on order processing up to and including properly closing orders in BOSS system.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, co-workers, and customers.
- Read label descriptions and stock merchandise by UPC codes.
Skills
- Must be familiar with the products sold by the company.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to operate receiving equipment.
- Must be able to communicate with others to exchange information.
- Must be able to operate machinery and/or power tools.
- Must be able to work in tight and confined spaces.
- Must be able to work in low or high temperatures.
- Must be able to work in outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind.
- Must be able to work in noisy environments.
- Must be able to lift objects up to 20 pounds, occasionally move and lift objects up to 100 pounds or more (utilizing a team lift as needed).
