BOSS Fulfillment Associate (Full Time)

About the role

The BOSS (Buy Online Ship from Store) Fulfillment Outfitter plays a key role in improving the shopping experience for customers by accessing inventory across all retail locations. This position involves filling BOSS orders, sorting, picking, packing, and loading merchandise for shipment to direct customers and retail stores, ensuring quality and appearance are maintained.

Responsibilities

• Perform multiple functions within the back room of the retail store, including receiving, inspecting, sorting, picking, and packing merchandise for shipment.
• Sort merchandise into order groupings and pack using proper containers, cartons, or packaging; apply labels and inspect product quality.
• Fill retail and direct customer orders by inspecting and matching merchandise to orders, pulling from designated stock locations.
• Move merchandise among warehouse locations using authorized material handling equipment (e.g., stock pickers, lift trucks) or manually load/unload trailers.
• Maintain housekeeping, cleanliness, and a safe work environment.
• Attend mandatory training and in-services, including new employee orientation, safety, and job skills training.
• Assist customers in finding merchandise and making buying decisions when working on the sales floor.
• Communicate issues affecting job execution, such as short picks, out-of-stocks, on-hand counts, and supply needs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (minimum).
• 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to follow through on order processing, including closing orders in the BOSS system.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to read label descriptions and stock merchandise by UPC codes.

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds (occasionally up to 100 pounds with team assistance).
• Able to stand for extended periods and constantly move during shifts.
• Constantly repeat motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, or ramps.
• Occasionally communicate with others to exchange information.
• Occasionally operate machinery, power tools, or work in tight/confined spaces.
• Occasionally work in low or high temperatures, outdoor elements (e.g., precipitation, wind), or noisy environments.
• Light work involving constant movement and lifting objects up to 20 pounds.
