Responsibilities

• Design and deliver instruction aligned with Louisiana K–12 Student Standards for Computer Science
• Develop engaging curriculum supporting graduation requirements and student progress
• Audit and assess student progress
• Create a safe and inclusive learning environment
• Incorporate cybersecurity, digital citizenship, and AI literacy into instruction
• Implement nationally recognized Computer Science standards
• Integrate ISTE-aligned practices promoting digital citizenship, computational thinking, and responsible technology use
• Ensure students develop skills for a technologically advanced world

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Demonstrated commitment to CSUSA's values
• Louisiana teaching certification and computer science certification for Computer Science I and II (when applicable)
• Strong technology proficiency and ongoing professional learning
• Previous experience in virtual teaching or online education environments
• Proficiency with educational technologies such as LMS, video conferencing tools, and online assessment platforms
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents in an online setting
• Skilled in using tools like Google Classroom, Jamboard, and Zoom

Skills

• Knowledge of computing systems, networks, algorithms, programming, and cybersecurity
• Ability to design standards-aligned instruction
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Proficiency with educational technology
