About the role

Language Services Associates is seeking Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian/Serbo-Croatian interpreters in the Louisville, KY area to join LSA’s network of Independently Contracted Interpreters. You will facilitate language communication for the Limited English Proficient (LEP) community in a variety of settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service
• Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct, including maintaining strict standards of confidentiality
• Follow all policies and procedures, including professional interpretation protocols and industry-specific best practices
• Comply with clearance requirements as requested by clients
• Report on site to accepted assignments in a timely manner
• Arrange access to personal or public transportation

Requirements

• Full fluency in both English and Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian/Serbo-Croatian
• Ability to provide a high level of client service
• 1+ year of professional interpreting experience preferred
• Industry-specific certifications/trainings preferred (e.g., CMI, CCHI)
