About the role
You will take complete ownership of corporate financial records and compliance mechanisms for a premier, high-volume general contractor. This onsite role gives you the structural autonomy to balance ledgers, oversee job costing, and manage multi-project workflows without micromanagement. Your precision will directly protect our bottom line and optimize company operations as we continue to scale.
Responsibilities
- Maintain precise financial records by recording and verifying all multi-project accounting transactions daily.
- Execute thorough job-costing processes to accurately track vendor invoices, project expenses, and operational margins.
- Supervise subcontractor compliance data, tracking insurance-related financial documents and critical lien waivers closely.
- Prepare accurate contractor and vendor payments systematically to ensure continuous, on-time project execution.
- Partner with project managers and executive leadership to reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable balances.
- Optimize corporate spreadsheets and digital accounting systems to elevate overall data transparency and reporting speed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of professional bookkeeping, corporate accounting, or highly relevant financial management experience.
- Advanced computer proficiency with deep technical expertise using QuickBooks, basic accounting software, and Microsoft Excel.
- Comprehensive understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and high-volume corporate transaction management.
- Demonstrated history working autonomously within an accountability-driven, fast-paced corporate business environment.
Qualifications
- Completed Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related business field.
- Substantial background in construction bookkeeping, including job costing, lien waivers, and subcontractor compliance management.
- Proven ability to analyze complex financial data points and navigate tight, vendor-facing timelines with total composure.
Skills
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and basic accounting software.
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and optimization.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and high-volume corporate transaction management.

$70,000 to $100,000 per year (based on experience).
