Bookkeeper
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping functions to ensure financial information is recorded accurately and kept up to date.
- Process vendor invoices and payments, monitor outgoing transactions, and maintain organized accounts payable records.
- Manage customer billing, apply incoming payments, and follow up on outstanding balances within accounts receivable.
- Complete bank and account reconciliations on a regular basis to identify discrepancies and support clean financial reporting.
- Aid with payroll administration, including coordinating payroll data and working within ADP to help ensure timely processing.
- Track inventory-related financial activity and help maintain accurate records tied to stock movement and valuation.
- Prepare routine financial reports and support leadership with clear, organized accounting information for business decisions.
- Maintain orderly accounting documentation and contribute to process improvements that strengthen day-to-day financial operations.
Requirements
- At least 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting.
- Hands-on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation activities.
- Strong understanding of bank reconciliations and general accounting record maintenance.
- Experience supporting payroll processes; familiarity with ADP is preferred.
- Ability to track inventory accurately and connect inventory activity to financial records.
- High level of accuracy, organization, and discretion when handling sensitive financial information.
- Comfortable working in a small business setting where priorities may shift based on seasonal workload.
