Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including recording financial transactions and maintaining accurate account records.
- Process accounts payable transactions, verify supporting documentation, and help ensure vendors are paid on schedule.
- Complete regular bank reconciliations by comparing statements to internal records and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain organized financial files and supporting documentation for invoices, payments, and account activity.
- Aid with month-end close tasks by reviewing account balances and preparing information needed for reporting.
- Monitor accounting data for accuracy and follow up on missing details or inconsistencies as needed.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address billing, payment, and general bookkeeping questions.
- Support continuity of accounting operations during the contract period and contribute to a smooth transition if the role becomes a permanent position.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or general accounting support.
- Hands-on experience with accounts payable processing in a business environment.
- Proven ability to perform bank reconciliations accurately and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain precise financial records.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficiency with standard accounting systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Clear communication skills and a dependable approach to daily work.
