Bone Densitometry Technologist

About the Role

Baptist Health is the largest healthcare system serving central Alabama, providing comprehensive hospital-based and outpatient services to nearly 60 percent of the residents in Montgomery, Autauga, and Elmore counties.

The Bone Densitometry Technologist oversees the bone densitometry modality, working with the Manager and other Technologists to ensure all diagnostic procedures are performed efficiently, effectively, and with the highest level of quality and concern for each patient. Additional duties within the scope of the role may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the bone densitometry modality.
• Collaborate with the Manager and other Technologists to ensure diagnostic procedures are performed efficiently and effectively.
• Maintain the highest level of quality and patient care in all procedures.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of diagnostic radiography.
• ARRT certification required.
• Bone Densitometry certification acquired within six months of employment.
• BLS certification preferred.

• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software.
