Boiler & Refrigeration Technician (Crew D) Caldwell, ID

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, troubleshoots, overhauls and repairs equipment in the boiler and refrigeration and all other utility systems to minimize downtime.
• Observes and tests system operation using gauges and instruments.
• Comfortable with control panel interface screens and HMI’s, and knows how to react to alarms and items that need attention from the control system.
• Tests lines, components, and connections for leaks.
• Performs boiler feed water, condensate and cooling tower water analysis and makes necessary adjustments to maintain desirable results.
• Maintains all shop inventories, including but not limited to: critical spare parts, consumables, tools.
• Creates, performs and completes work orders in the computerized maintenance management system as assigned or as needed, prepares kitting when necessary, and plans and schedules additional work as needed.
• Maintains Company standards for safety, quality, food safety, sanitation and GMPs.
• Maintains necessary level of communication with team members and other support groups and does so in a participative management style conducive with operational goals.
• Able to work under minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED.
• Candidates who hold CARO, CIRO, or RETA certification, or a minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience operating, maintaining, or troubleshooting industrial boiler and ammonia refrigeration systems within a manufacturing environment.
• Must obtain CIRO certification (obtained from RETA) within 2-3 year of employment in this position. Must maintain certification throughout employment.
• Must provide required tools (Tool list administered).
