About the role
The Body Journeyman at Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is responsible for performing all functions of a fully qualified heavy-duty truck repair Bodyman under minimal supervision. This role involves skilled and complex body work on heavy-duty truck equipment and related components, troubleshooting major problems, and assisting apprentice Bodymen.
Responsibilities
- Performs skilled and complicated body work on heavy-duty truck equipment and related components with minimal supervision.
- Performs trouble shooting on major problems.
- Works with and helps train apprentice Bodymen.
- Maintains a neat and orderly working area and proper handling of company tools.
- Advises the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
- Maintains favorable relations with customers.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
- CDL preferred.
- Minimum of five years experience in truck body repair or other applied body repair service.
- A positive can-do attitude.
- Necessary tools required to perform position responsibilities.
