Body Shop Technician

About the role

Truck Centers, Inc. is continually growing and seeks Body Shop Technicians with varying levels of experience to join their team. The Body Shop Techs will handle a range of tasks including vehicle teardown, repairs, welding, and painting.

Responsibilities

• Review each repair order (RO) and estimator’s notes to understand the repairs needed before starting work on the vehicle.
• Perform vehicle teardown, repairs of all types, welding, and painting as instructed.
• Identify parts necessary for repair completion and work with the Parts department to minimize downtime.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of heavy-duty operating systems and OEM technical repair processes.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace according to company and Elite Support guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver's License with ability to meet insurance requirements; Class A CDL with air brake endorsement is highly preferred
• 2+ years of collision repair, fabrication, painting, and welding experience, including both fiberglass and metal parts; heavy-duty repair experience is highly preferred
• Demonstrated strong personal conviction of producing quality work
• Prominent technical skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 110 lbs. without assistance
