About the role
Midwest Bus Sales Inc Body Shop Technician Body Shop Tech I is considered a master body tech capable of all body repairs. Including but not limited to, disassembly, assembly, and repair of interior and exterior body panels and structure, sanding, sealing, welding, fiberglass repair, paint preparation, application, buffing, and finish detailing.
Responsibilities
- Disassemble, assemble, and repair interior and exterior body panels and structure
- Sanding, sealing, and painting of body panels and structures
- Fiberglass repair and finishing
- Maintain and operate body shop equipment and tools
- Collaborate with other technicians and mechanics to ensure efficient and effective repairs
- Document work procedures and maintain accurate records
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a body shop technician
- Proficiency in all aspects of body repair, including welding, fiberglass repair, and painting
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a formal body repair training program preferred
Skills
- Proficient in body repair techniques
- Knowledgeable in automotive painting processes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
