The Opportunity

As our next Body Shop Technician, you will play a crucial role in keeping our customer's fleet moving. We are looking for an energetic, solutions-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is eager to grow with us.

What You'll Do Day-to-Day

  • Engage in a variety of tasks including mechanical repairs, painting, maintenance work, and installation of mechanical components, promoting the development of a broad skill set and continuous learning in vehicle repair and maintenance.
  • Repair mechanical and truck body damage, focusing on the meticulous restoration of vehicles to create a positive impression and exceed customer expectations.
  • Assist in ensuring the trucks are in pristine condition before presentation and delivery, contributing to a positive customer experience through attention to detail and quality work.
  • Help out with the installation of mechanical components, adopting new and innovative methods to enhance the performance and efficiency of heavy-duty trucks.
  • Proactively seek out new techniques and technologies in truck repair, painting, and maintenance to improve the quality of work and efficiency, showcasing an initiative to lead and innovate within the industry.
  • Practice environmental stewardship by using resources wisely and effectively during repair processes and maintaining an organized and efficient workspace, demonstrating respect for company assets and the environment.
  • Collaborate closely with team members and leadership to continuously cultivate positive experiences for our customers.
  • Perform other dynamic duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma/equivalent required; trade school focusing on automotive or heavy-duty truck repair preferred.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in truck or body shop repair preferred, including mechanical repairs and refinishing.
  • Must understand mechanical systems and refinishing techniques specific to heavy-duty trucks.
  • Ability to perform basic mechanical repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Good communication skills to interact with team members and managers effectively.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods; lift heavy parts; and have good manual dexterity/hand-eye coordination.
  • Valid driver's license essential; CDL preferred, or ability to obtain one (needed for testing/moving trucks).
  • Mindset: A curious mindset with an entrepreneurial "pioneering spirit," strong integrity, and a passion for continuous professional development.

Medical Safety Compliance

Must successfully pass a baseline medical evaluation and a respiratory fit test (per OSHA standards) to ensure safe use of PPE, and maintain safety-compliance guidelines during daily operations.

Physical And Mental Demands

The employee is frequently required to bend, squat, kneel, and crawl/lay on back; reach away from body or shoulder height; climb or balance; lift up to 75 pounds; push or pull; working in areas with fumes or airborne particles; vibration.
