Body Shop Technician

Essential Functions

• Verify VIN or vehicle with VIN on work order.
• Inspect body prep work before painting.
• Prepare and paint vehicle.
• If required, complete hotline on unit and submit to admin.
• Periodically inspect booths, filters, lights, temperature, etc. to ensure proper operation.
• Inspect unit after work is complete.

Physical Demands

• Moderate physical activity performing strenuous daily activities of a primarily administrative or production/technical nature.

Work Environment

• Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office, production setting, outdoor/indoor shop environment or enclosed vehicle with adequate ventilation and protection from extreme weather conditions.

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• One to three months related experience and/or training.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

• One-year certificate from college or technical school.
• Three to six months of related experience and/or training.
• Or equivalent education and experience.

Computer Operations

• Intermediate personal computer skills including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

• Must be able to obtain TWIC badge.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
