Body Shop General Manager
About the Role
ProColor, part of Mondofix Inc. (Fix Network), is a global leader in collision, glass, and mechanical repair services. Our family of brands includes Fix Auto, NOVUS Glass, Speedy Glass USA, Speedy Auto Service, and SRP. As a Body Shop General Manager, your primary responsibility is to manage people and processes to meet customer needs and company goals. You will guide the collision repair and customer service teams to ensure high-quality repairs and customer satisfaction while adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs). The role focuses on achieving profit goals, containing expenses, and maintaining high standards in quality, productivity, and timeliness.
Responsibilities
- Manage processes and branch staff to ensure legendary customer service.
- Ensure delivery times are met and documented if delays occur.
- Oversee that repairs are completed correctly the first time, with accountability for parts, materials, and overall quality.
- Address escalated customer complaints to rectify issues.
- Ensure 100% compliance with the quality control (QC) process.
- Take in-progress and post-repair photos and attach them in Mitchell Connect.
- Facilitate daily production meetings to align the team with departmental goals.
- Establish and manage an annual operating budget to meet goals set with supervision.
- Hold daily production meetings with the technical team to monitor progress.
- Supervise parts procurement and the supplement process.
- Monitor sublets and production scheduling to meet productivity projections.
- Track key performance indicators, including daily production statistics and benchmarks.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained and used safely.
- Respond to safety concerns immediately and follow industry standards for insurance forms, estimates, and recommendations.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- High school or college automotive body repair diploma.
- 5-7 years’ experience in shop management or senior industry experience.
- A complete understanding of collision repair duties, including estimating, production scheduling, and meeting deadlines.
- Familiarity with insurance repair procedures and guidelines.
- Solid skills in Mitchell Cloud Estimating and Connect.
- I-Car Training considered an asset.
- Red Seal certification preferred.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
- Highly flexible with strong interpersonal skills for a diverse working environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle sensitive situations professionally.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Working Conditions
- Physical ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
- Travel to off-site locations may be required.

Pay
This position offers a competitive salary base range of $116,500 - $137,500 depending on experience.
