Responsibilities
- Final Vehicle Detailing & Presentation
- Perform final wash, interior cleaning, and detailing of repaired vehicles.
- Remove dust, compound residue, overspray, and fingerprints from repaired and adjacent areas.
- Clean glass, wheels, tires, trim, and interior surfaces to dealership standards.
- Ensure vehicles are presentable, odor-free, and customer-ready at delivery.
- Quality Control Support
- Inspect vehicles for cleanliness, appearance, and obvious cosmetic concerns prior to delivery.
- Identify and report any visible defects, missed repairs, or concerns to management.
- Verify removal of protective coverings, masking materials, and repair residue.
- Support final quality checks before vehicle release.
- Process Compliance & Safety
- Follow dealership detailing procedures and safety guidelines.
- Use proper chemicals, tools, and equipment for interior and exterior detailing.
- Comply with environmental, chemical handling, and PPE requirements.
- Maintain clean, organized detailing and wash areas.
- Workflow & Team Support
- Coordinate with production staff to prioritize vehicles for delivery.
- Manage workload to support on-time delivery and cycle time goals.
- Assist with lot organization and vehicle staging as needed.
- Support a collaborative, professional shop environment.
- Equipment & Materials
- Properly use and maintain detailing equipment (pressure washers, vacuums, buffers, etc.).
- Report equipment or supply needs to management.
- Assist with inventory of detailing supplies as directed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or the equivalent.
- Previous automotive detailing experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to follow procedures and work efficiently.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle interior and exterior materials.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in wet or outdoor environments as required.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals, noise, and vehicle movement.
