Body Shop A Level Technician * Sign on Bonus * Experienced only

About the role

Northtown Collision is looking to add on to our team of technicians. We are looking for a skilled Collision technician who is an A level technician who has 10+ years experience.

Responsibilities

• Repairs vehicles per estimate and according to manufacturer standards.
• Checks parts against estimate and ensures proper parts are ordered and received.
• Prepares vehicles for body repair work.
• Notifies management of any additional repairs needed.
• Notifies management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised time.
• Maintains tools and equipment in a proper state of repair.
• Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
• Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners and other hazardous materials. Reports any deviations to management.
• Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.
• Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know etc.
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Extensive previous experience as an Auto Body Technician at Level A.
• 10+ years experience required.
• Valid, clean, in-state driver's license.

Requirements

• Physically demanding position.
• Stand ten to twelve hours per shift.
• Lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds several times during each shift.
• Use hoist and test equipment as needed.
• Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach.
• Use hand and power tools.
• Exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials.

Pay

• $22-$24 flat rate hourly (approximately $110k-$125k per year).
• $3,000 sign-on bonus paid incrementally, beginning 90 days after start date.

Schedule

Full-time, 3 day rotating schedule: 7:30AM - 9:00PM (Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday for one month and then Thursday/Friday/Saturday for the next month).
