Body Journeyman

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America’s largest Kenworth truck Dealership and Leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Body Journeyman to perform all functions of a fully qualified heavy-duty truck repair Bodyman under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled and complicated body work on heavy-duty truck equipment and related components with minimal supervision.
• Troubleshoot major problems.
• Work with and help train apprentice Bodymen.
• Maintain a neat and orderly working area and proper handling of company tools.
• Advise the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
• Maintain favorable relations with customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

This position has been designated as safety-sensitive, meaning any lapse of attention could result in injury, illness, or death. Duties include operating, repairing, maintaining, or monitoring heavy equipment, machinery, or motor vehicles, as well as handling hazardous materials and/or waste.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years experience in truck body repair or other applied body repair service.
• Positive, can-do attitude.
• Necessary tools required to perform position responsibilities.
• CDL preferred.
